Doxy Massager Wand

Temptations Direct very kindly sent me the Doxy Wand in return for an honest review.

First impressions

The Doxy wand is packaged in white simple box with Doxy written across it. It is made from strong cardboard, making it perfect for storage of the product in between uses. The box has an outer sleeve that has a large picture of the product, along with information of the materials that it is made out of and what its intended purpose is.

Inside the box is the doxy wand, as well as a small instruction leaflet. When you take out the Doxy from its box the first thing that hits you is the weight of the product, it is quite heavy so doesn’t feel cheap and flimsy. On the wand are 3 big easy to push buttons, which control the functions of the wand when plugged in. The build and quality of the wand looks great it does not have any flaws or loose pieces which often can be found with cheaper products. It definitely has a luxurious and sophisticated feel to it.

Material & Measurements

The Doxy is mains-powered, which enables it to be very powerful. Wands that I have used in the past have really short wires but this wasn’t the case! The wire is roughly 3 meters in length giving you lots of room to move without being restricted. As well as having a power boost there is no faffing around trying to find batteries that fit, or loosing charge mid-session.

In total from the top to bottom the wand is 13” in length, so is quite a large toy. The head of the wand is 7” in circumference meaning that most universal sized attachments should fit.

The main handle of the wand is made out of ABS plastic, and the buttons are made out of silicone. The head of the wand is made out of medical graded PVC that is soft to the touch, which provides more comfort. It is phthalate free, however unfortunately cannot be completely sterilised. It would be great if the head was made out of silicone like the buttons, but that’s just me being picky.

During Use

The Doxy is the most powerful toy I have ever experienced, it makes any other wand I have used seem very disappointing. I find the lowest setting more than adequate to lead me to a very quick orgasm. I tried using it on its highest setting, and orgasmed within seconds! The vibrations are very rumbly so feel very deep, unlike lots of vibrators that can just be felt on the surface. This makes orgasm feel very intense. The pulse settings I found to be excellent for teasing, when you’re just about to orgasm it becomes very weak preventing you from orgasming.

I found that the higher settings can feel slightly uncomfortable on your delicate parts, unless lots and lots of lubricant is used. As the vibrations are so powerful the head of the wand seems to push the lubricant away, I found thick lubricant prevents this slightly.

A great thing about any wand is that it can be used with wand attachments (some can be found here), so can be used by both males and females. I found that all universal sized attachments that I have fit perfectly on the wand, and do not take away any of its power. The powerful vibrations run all of the way through the attachments which I thought was brilliant, as in the past is has made the vibrations feel much weaker with other wands.

I have lately been experiencing bad back pain from torn ligaments, and the product states that it can be used for massage other than genital massage. After a few uses my back feels incredible, it no longer kills me getting out of bed of a morning. I never expected it to work as a muscle massager, but it does perfectly. If this is your intended purpose of the product I would advise seeing a doctor about the pain before jumping in with the Doxy as it could cause more damage than good.

Clean-up & Maintenance

Cleaning and maintaining the Doxy couldn’t be any simpler. As the head of the wand is smooth with no ridges it can be cleaned with a simple wipe down. You could use a damp cloth or toy cleaner/wipes even baby wipes work great. As the wand is mains powered I would not advise putting it anywhere near a tap or lots of water, especially when it is still plugged in. After use the doxy can be put back in the box until it is used again.

Summary

I wouldn’t advise this toy for people who dislike noisy toys, or do not like much power. If you’re a power king or queen then this toys is perfect, it is very versatile so can be used in many ways.
