Ardor The Game

I was very kindly sent Ardor from Ardor the game in return for an honest review.

First Impressions

Both me and my partner both being gamer geeks, and having never played any sex games were both very excited to give Ardor a go.

The game arrived very quickly considering it was sent from overseas, which really impressed me. It arrived in a very discrete cardboard box, no one would ever guess what was hidden inside. The game was wrapped in bubble wrap within the box, so it wasn’t going to get bashed about and damaged during its journey to the UK.

The box for the game is very vibrant and appealing to look at. The front of the box doesn’t give away that it is a sex game, you could only guess by reading the description written on the back.

Inside the game is a small detailed instruction book as well as 140 playing cards. The cards are quite big in comparison to normal sized cards, roughly double the size. At first I found them a little tricky to hold, but loved the fact that they were very clear and easy to read. The cards are made out of quality card and are not flimsy, they also are printed excellently and match the vibrant theme on the front of the box. The really do look excellent.

How It Works

The instructions do take a while to read, and understand completely. At first I was quite confused, and I didn’t fully understand how to play the game. Once me and my partner played the game once I found it quite simple and understood it much more.

Before starting the game I would advising that you have everything for the tasks on the cards for example sex toys, ice and foods that you are able to eat off each other. This saves time running about finding the things later on in the game. If you do not have access to all of the things involved, or really do not feel comfortable with any of the tasks you can remove the cards before play. Me and my partner did this for a few cards, and found that it did not affect how the game was played in any way at all.

There are two different games that you are able to play one called Win your fantasy and the other being called Live your fantasy.

In Win your fantasy you are playing for EXP (points). The aim is to place down cards that match your partners until you can no longer do so. The person who is first to get 15 EXP gets to keep the cards that they won.

In the Live your fantasy part of the game you take it in turns to draw cards from decks that are chosen by the winner of the round before. You then play out the acts written or pictured on the cards.

Our Thoughts

The Ardor game is something completely different to anything that we have tried before. It really did spice things up, and create lots of excitement. Despite being quite open minded, and being adventurous we found that the game enabled us to try things that we would not necessarily do.

Every time that you play the game is very different to the game before. Despite using the same positon and foreplay cards, you can add different sex toys and foods ect. Both me and my partner have played this game quite a few times since it arrived, and still love it! It never gets boring which is great.
